** NOTICE – Following the latest government advice, as of Monday 1st June 2020, we are pleased to offer socially distanced visits in the garden by up to 5 members of the same household. Please phone Julie or Angie to book a 1 hour slot **
We are doing our utmost to protect our residents at this most difficult time in our entire existence.
We have masks and gloves which the staff are using, and most staff are only coming into work and going home, although we cannot restrict their movements when they are not at work, or more especially their partners’ movements.
We have advice from the Government, local authority and CQC, all of which we accept and have adopted. We have restricted all but essential visits. We will not accept any new residents as we cannot be sure they are free of the virus.
We are encouraging separation of residents as much as possible remaining in their rooms. We have taken some of the chairs out of the lounge to ensure residents sit further apart than usual.
Until we are able to test staff we cannot be certain that none is carrying the virus, but we have to staff the home, and have no choice but to ask them to follow current legislation and guidance
Please be assured that we have an incredibly dedicated team of staff who are doing their utmost to protect residents from the virus and to ensure that normal life for them is continuing as closely as possible to normal in the circumstances. Despite the absence of some members of staff for health reasons, those committed ones who remain are going the extra mile to ensure residents keep in touch with their families.
We understand that it is a very difficult time for friends and relatives not being able to visit, but we thank you all for your understanding and support. We are very grateful for all the messages of support we have received.
