Crowborough Lodge Residential Care Home aims to be more than just a residential and care home for those living with us. We would like our residents to feel happy and at home here. Above all, our care and support promotes dignity, individuality and choice.

Experienced and approachable Registered Manager with 33 years in the care industry, dedicated to delivering exceptional standards of care. Fully qualified and deeply committed to supporting both residents and staff, I bring a compassionate and hands-on approach to leadership. I believe in creating a supportive, respectful, and home-like environment where everyone feels valued. With nearly two decades of experience, I continue to take pride in mentoring care teams, promoting best practices, and ensuring residents receive the highest level of person-centred care.

Dedicated and compassionate Deputy Manager at Crowborough Lodge Residential Care Home with over 14 years of experience in the care sector. Fully qualified and deeply committed to providing high-quality, person-centred care, I take great pride in supporting the well-being and dignity of our residents. My long-standing role has given me a wealth of experience in managing day-to-day operations, leading our care team, and ensuring a safe, nurturing environment for everyone in our home. Crowborough Lodge Residential Care Home can look back on many years of care.
In 1987, two registered nurses along with their husbands bought the property which was then run as a hotel. They converted it to a small residential care home for the elderly, and developed it to a home with a reputation for it’s excellent care.
Upon their retirement in 2002, they handed the Home over to the current owners, husband and wife team, Paul and Sanoma Evans along with Sanoma’s mother Sheela, a qualified registered nurse with over 30 years experience, managing the running of the home.
The new owners further expanded the Home and modernised it with more and enhanced facilities.
After graduating with a degree in Classics, Paul spent a career of 14 years in HR management in the BBC and then decided to leave to run his own business where he could bring his own values and experience to care for those in the latter stages of their own lives, many of whom have spent much of their lives caring for others.
Sanoma who graduated with a degree in Applied Statistics, helps run the home with new ideas, decision making and with implementing new systems.
We are dedicated to caring for the elderly and believe in investing and training staff to a high standard while sensitive to the needs and wishes of the residents.
